Just The Beginning

Sometimes it feels like time is standing still and other times it feels like there is not enough time to grab a piece of life as it swings by you. It feels like today it is painful to wait for something. Our culture is an instant culture wanting everything now and not willing to wait. Sometimes we don't even have time to enjoy what we have because we are too busy wanting or planning for something new. This can be exhausting.

It has been our experience that there is no limit in opportunity in the world today. Legacy One has been together since March and we could have already finished a tour across Canada and been line up for round two. But we have not even finished a show yet. It has been our discovery that sometimes you can drown fromfilling your boat with too many good things. We are trying to throw over board the things that were not meant for us so that we can focus on and refine the things that are.

People People People. It has been awesome the connections we have made and the friends have met here in Calgary. It is starting to feel a little more like home now that there are a few familiar faces around the city. God has given us a great big house which is perfect for our team! Our home has turned into somewhat of a bed and breakfast with random friends and family usually keeping one of our couches warm at night but we really do love it. It is great to wake up to a house full of people and it is actually a little lonely when it is just the six of us.

We just finished helping out at REVIVE youth conference put on by CFAM ( Canadian Filipino Alliance Ministries) There was about 250 youth there and we were there to do workshop classes. Our session was on "Living a Legacy" and answering to the call of God. The youth were really sweet and we got to chill and pray with a ton of them after the sessions. It was amazing to see what God did in some of their lives. It felt like a lot of youth came broken and beaten up and God did a lot of healing in their lives! It was very refreshing.

This was not only finger painting this was fully on dancing in paint! Every kids dream and all parents nightmare. This past weekend Legacy One and a fine crew of videographers, a DJ, an amazing make-up artist and an honorary dancer began the filming of the first ever Legacy One video. We hit the road at 7:30 am arrived to our fine warehouse/dance studio, each chugged down a pot of coffee and we were ready to start filming. We were working on our opening part of the show and also a promo video to show you all what the heck we are doing. It is still in the making but I will invite you all to the premier when it is released. The picture below is the result of 6 dancers and a lot of paint!

Our goal is to have our show done by September and to start working in schools. Please pray for us as we continue to design the show.
We will also we working at Street Invaders from July 25-28 this summer helping teach dance and spoken word to the youth. July 30-31 we are doing another conference working with kids from ages 6-12.

We thank-you all for your prayers, support and encouragement. We really couldn't do this with out you all. We realize more and more this is God's vision and dream and we are a very small part in it.

These verses have been really encouraging to our team.

Isaiah 41:1-4
"Quiet down, far-flung ocean islands. Listen! Sit down and rest, everyone. Recover your strength.
Gather around me. Say what's on your heart.
Together let's decide what's right.

"Who got things rolling here,
got this champion from the east on the move?
Who recruited him for this job,
then rounded up and corralled the nations
so he could run roughshod over kings?
He's off and running,
pulverizing nations into dust,
leaving only stubble and chaff in his wake.
He chases them and comes through unscathed,
his feet scarcely touching the path.

"Who did this? Who made it happen?
Who always gets things started?
I did. God. I'm first on the scene.
I'm also the last to leave.

Isaiah 41:9-10

I pulled you in from all over the world,
called you in from every dark corner of the earth,
Telling you, 'You're my servant, serving on my side.
I've picked you. I haven't dropped you.'
Don't panic. I'm with you.
There's no need to fear for I'm your God.
I'll give you strength. I'll help you.
I'll hold you steady, keep a firm grip on you.

So though it may appear that life is passing by to fast or too slow it is reassuring to know that God has a firm grip on it and we no longer need to worry.
